Today I’m going to teach you the TRUTH about traffic.
Mainly because… Most of what you’ve probably heard about traffic in the past is dead wrong.
Or a flat out lie.
You’ve seen the videos. The ones where they promise you ‘server crushing’ traffic overnight, or at the push of a button. Where the only way to stop the massive waves of traffic from coming to your site is to completely take it down…
Give me a break.
That aint the way traffic getting’ works!
And contrary to what you might see in most sales videos, there is no such thing as “free” traffic.
Allow me to break down traffic for you in 2 very simple sentences…
1. There is “paid with money” traffic
2. There is “paid with time” traffic
I’ll admit… I swiped those 2 sentences from my buddy Peter. I use to say that you could either (1) pay for it, or (2) work for it. Still gets the same point across, but his way backs up my “no such thing as free traffic” statement better.
“Paid with money” traffic requires a budget.
“Paid with time” traffic requires lots of good content, and lots of good links.
Sure, there are good things about each, and bad things about each. I’ll walk you through an illustration in a minute that will point out some of these little “nuances” …But in the grand scheme of things, that’s pretty much it.
Here’s an example…
Jake is an insurance salesman by day, but his real passion is playing blues guitar.
His income has taken a dip over the last couple of years, so a few months ago he started learning about affiliate marketing. The product he wants to sell is a $97 e-course called “Blues Guitar Mastery”. (It’s his favorite, out of all the ones he has purchased in the past so naturally, it was his first choice as an affiliate)
His perfect prospect is a beginner that wants to learn the basics of playing blues guitar.
So he setup a website and wrote a few followup emails. Both geared to sell the product. He spent some time on this, and it shows. He’s confident that if he can just put in front of the right people, he will make sales.
So the first keyword he goes with is “How To Play Blues Guitar”.
He knows that I’m a TRAFFIC MASTER so he calls me up to get my advice on how he should proceed.
Confession: I’m not really a traffic master…I’m just really good at finding consistent streams of quality traffic, and then turning that into income. Plus, there was that one time when I stayed at that Holiday Inn Express.
Nevermind.
If Jake goes with “paid with money” traffic, he can rank his site for the term “How To Play Blues Guitar”, with little effort, by tomorrow.
If you are willing to fork out the money, then everything is for sale. Including the #1 spot on Google.
That’s just not possible with “paid with time” traffic. If someone tells you different, they are either (1) lying to you in hopes of making a profit… Or (2) A local loony bin escapee.
So what do you want to achieve?
Do you want stellar results by tomorrow? No problem …Be prepared to plunk down the dough.
Don’t want to pony up the cash? Have plenty of time available, and don’t expect results any time soon.
Simple as that.
Yes, there are shortcuts to speed up certain processes. That’s how new products get created. Regardless of whether or not they work, you get sold these “shortcuts” by the so called “marketers”.
Don’t get me wrong… I’ve done my fair share of “paid with time” traffic. Don’t have anything against it at all. But (the majority of) my income is earned from “paid with money” traffic.
You see, I figured out a “secret” – that’s different than a “shortcut” J
[--------------------QUICK SIDE NOTE--------------------]
Up until just a few days ago, I use to tell my students that oftentimes, “paid with time” traffic will yield a higher return when it’s all said and done. My reasoning was simple.
If someone consumes a piece of your content FIRST, and still make the decision to continue on to your site, they are more likely to be interested in what you have to offer. (Compared to someone who just clicks on one of your ads somewhere.)
Sounds logical, right?
Sure it does. But that still don’t make it TRUE.
I’ve actually been wondering about this for quite some time. And over the last 4 months, I have been running a test experiment to see whether or not that was actually the case.
In the experiment I used 10 different traffic sources. (5) “paid with money” and (5) “paid with time”. I’ve documented the profits made from each one of these 10 different traffic sources.
The results of that experiment came as a complete SHOCK. I don’t want to go into the full details of the test here in this post, but I’ll tell you this …I now know (with 100% certainty) that “paid with money” traffic is more profitable than “paid with time” traffic.
As long as it’s done in a certain way. The RIGHT way.
If you are interested in seeing the full details of that experiment, let me know in the comment section below. If there is enough interest, I’ll post all the juicy details here on the blog.
[--------------------/QUICK SIDE NOTE--------------------]
Here’s a hint:
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE!!
Contrary to popular belief, when you pay money for traffic, you’re not just paying for “clicks”.
You’re paying for eyeballs.
Actual people, with actual needs.
If your conversions suck, it’s YOUR fault.
Catch their attention by giving them a pleasant experience that meets their needs. When you do that, they WILL NOT click away from your site.
People consume what interests THEM.
I’ll talk more in depth about this at another time, but here’s one thing to always remember.
Your visitor’s all time favorite radio station is WIIFM.
“What’s In It For ME” – that’s what they are thinking the moment they hit your page.
Fail to answer that question they will be gone faster than you can say “Most people would charge for this type of information”
My experiment proved this.
That’s why I decided to create the “Facebook Conversion Monster” course to complement your purchase of “FB Ad Clone” – I basically give you a complete plan that is built from scratch with the above in mind.
I know that unless you know EXACTLY how to do this stuff, all the Facebook PPC traffic in the world won’t do you a darn bit of good.
Here’s a “snap shot” of how I run my business…
I create a sales funnel that captures the attention of the visitor. One that provides them with a pleasant experience, and solutions to their problems.
Then I use “paid with money” traffic (mostly facebook PPC) to target ONLY the RIGHT PEOPLE to my webpage. Getting the RIGHT people is just a matter of writing your ads a certain way.
That’s pretty much all there is to it.
And it’s exactly how I make lots of money with smaller than ‘average’ lists.
Remember the ad writing example I gave you a couple days ago? (If not, then you must not be on the private notification list yet)
Anyways, several people replied to that email and told me that it was the exact reason their Facebook campaigns had been losing money. Once they make the simple changes I recommended, they are back in profit mode. I like getting emails like that.
Here’s why this is important…
I learned that ad writing technique from Tim Atkinson. He covers it in one of the trainings inside FB Ad Clone.
I use that technique (along with the FB Ad Clone Software) to write killer ads that get the RIGHT people to my offers.
Combine that with my knowledge of turning those visitors into money, and you’ve got one dynamite “cocktail” of awesomeness.
He’ll help you get the traffic.
I’ll help you turn it into money.
That’s why you need both. One without the other does no good.
That’s also why I’m GIVING it to you as part of my promo for FBAC. It’s free.
The contest I’m running is just to sweeten the deal. The REAL value is in Facebook Conversion Monster.
Wait …What CONTEST!?
Oh yea, I forgot… I haven’t told you about the contest yet, have I?
Looks like you will have to wait until I announce it in a couple of days. {evil grin} If you’re on the list, you’ll get it for sure…I still don’t know if I want to post it here on the blog or not …Best bet is to get on the list)
I’ll give you a hint though.
It’s a PERFECT example of me broadcasting to your all time favorite radio station. (WIIFM)
I’ll stop now because it’s sounding like a “pitch” for FB Conversion Monster.
What can I say …This stuff is good and you need them BOTH in order to make money from your FB Ad campaigns.
The FBAC + FBCM “cocktail” is better than peanut butter and chocolate. (Or good sex if you’re not into sweets)
Talk to ya soon!
Justin “all about the experience” Glover
There probably won’t be a sales letter for FBCM for a while (if ever), but the link below is where you’ll be able to pick up FBAC on Thursday, July 5th.
I recommend at least giving it a “once over” when you have a chance.

Hi Justin,
I’m having some time now. Sue is getting better every day, but I still haven’t made a sale. I wish you would review with me and tell me what to do.
James
What a fabulous sales letter! Very powerful, it seems to me. I see now that you really do get lots of good results with your marketing as this presentation really rocks! No doubt about it.
